What Exactly is Female Ejaculation?

Yes, when some women have an orgasm, they do release a thick, milky, white, or gray fluid. But not all women do, and some may not even know that they do.

The Skene’s glands, also called the paraurethral glands or “female prostate,” are thought to be where female ejaculate comes from. These glands are along the wall of the vagina, close to the urethra. The urethra is the tube that pee flows through when it leaves the body.

It’s hard to say for sure how many women ejaculate. According to a 2017 study, almost 70% of women do. Other figures put the number of women between 10% and 50%. In some cases, the fluid moves backward into the bladder, so some women might not realize they are ejaculating. There are also different amounts of sperm.

Types of Female Ejaculate

When a woman has an orgasm or is sexually aroused, fluid comes out of her urethra. This is called ejaculation. Urine goes from the bladder to the outside of the body through a tube called the urethra.

There are two kinds of ejaculate from a woman:

  • Fluid squirting out: This fluid is generally clear and has no smell, and it comes out in large amounts.
  • Ejaculate fluid: This kind looks more like male sperm. It is usually thick and looks like milk.

PSA, or prostate acid phosphatase, was found in the fluid after it was tested. PSA is an enzyme that is found in male sperm and helps the sperm move. Also, fructose, a type of sugar, is often found in the sperm of women. Fructose is also often found in the male sperm, where it gives the sperm energy.

Experts think that the Skene’s glands are where the PSA and fructose in the blood come from. These glands are also called the female prostate, Garter’s duct, and the paraurethral glands. Skene’s glands are near the G-spot on the front, inside wall of the vagina. Scientists think that when these glands are stimulated, they make PSA and sugar, which then move into the urethra.

Is Ejaculation the same thing as Squirting?

Some people confuse ejaculation in women with “squirting“. During sexual action, squirting is another way that fluid gets out. Some women squirt when they’re excited, not just when they’re having an orgasm. Also, the liquid that comes out when you squeeze is clear, not white or gray. And there is more of it than there is sperm.

Some experts think that squirting fluid could be pee that has been watered down. Researchers have found that the fluid comes from the bladder and is made up of urea, a substance that is also found in pee.

Summary

Just like in life, try to remember that sex is about the trip, not the end result. Some people ejaculate. Some don’t. It’s important to enjoy the ride, no matter what.
