How Long Does It Really Take For A Woman To Reach Orgasm?

Since every woman is different, there is no right answer to this question. One woman might get excited quickly. Someone else might need more time. And some women never have an orgasm.

It seems like a very specific 13.46 minutes of sexual action. Get your timers going.

Over the course of eight weeks, 645 women with an average age of 30 used a stopwatch to measure how long it took from the start of sexual action to having an orgasm. The times ranged from 12.76 to 14.06 minutes, but 17% of the women who were studied had never had an orgasm.

As you might expect, penetrative sex wasn’t the best way to get a woman to her peak. Only 31.4% of the women who took part in the study had an orgasm because of entry alone. When it comes to getting off, oral and other types of stimulation are much more important.

How long do women want sex to last?

There’s no rule about how long sex should last for women to be happy with it. An informal poll of 3,836 people showed that women want their sexual encounters to last an average of 25 minutes and 51 seconds, even though most of theirs last between 16 and 17 minutes.

But in a study released in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, sex therapists said that vaginal intercourse should last between seven and thirteen minutes. “Too short” is between one and two minutes; “enough” is between three and seven minutes; and “too long” is between ten and thirty minutes. The average amount of time is between three and thirteen minutes, though.

It’s not easy for women to reach orgasm

A 2018 study found that 10 to 40% of women say they have trouble or can’t get an orgasm. So it’s more common than you think that you can’t reach your peak. The problem is that there are so many reasons why someone might not be able to orgasm that it’s hard to find the exact cause. The study says that worry, anxiety, medical problems, and trauma from the past are just some of the reasons. Another study found that the main reasons women couldn’t come were their age, how hard it was to get aroused, and how well they were lubricated.

Orgasm gets better with age

Age gives you a lot of reasons to complain, but your sexual life isn’t one of them. It turns out that the quality and number of orgasms can get better as you get older. About 61% of women ages 18 to 24 had an orgasm the last time they had sex; 65% of women in their 30s did; and about 70% of women in their 40s and 50s did.

As a woman gets older, she gains more confidence and trust in the bedroom, which can help her relax and enjoy her orgasm more.

Summary

It’s normal for many women to take longer to finish than their male partners. In fact, it takes most women at least 13 minutes to reach their peak.  If your partner usually gets an orgasm before you do, you can slow him down by putting hard pressure around the base of the penis. If early ejaculation is a problem, you should see a sexologist to find other ways to help.
