The Ayurveda as a medicinal science is able to provide the solution to all kinds of ailments faced by a modern couple. The Erectile Dysfunction is one of the common disorders affecting men in their lifetime, sometimes causing failed conceptions. The inability to maintain an erection can be frustrating to a man, more so when the partner shows signs of dissatisfaction. This, in turn, affects him negatively and worsens the condition. The various physical and psychological factors which cause this disorder can be treated effectively using the Ayurvedic approach. Unless this problem manifested as a congenital disorder at birth, Ayurveda provides effective cure to overcome it.

The primary cause of ED is attributed to be the imbalance in the Apana Vayu, one of the Vayu dosha in the body. This Vayu controls the functioning of the urinary bladder, anus, groin, testicles and phallus. Functions like the ejaculations and erection in a man are controlled by the Apana Vayu.

The imbalances in the doshas of the body are the primary cause of diseases. Ayurveda suggests the use of cleansing, revitalising and optimising every malfunctioning cell in a body through its many phases of treatment. The cleansing removes all the toxic accumulation in the body through the procedures of Panchakarma. Revitalising therapy for sexual wellness is named as the vajikarana therapy. This may include a mix of herbs, pills and massage sessions to revitalise the reproductive organs. Optimising the organ functioning is done through a healthy diet which helps assimilate healthiest of the cells and hence maximise the reproductive ability in a man.
