What are the Effects of Stress?

These days, almost every person, be it middle age men/women, seniors and even children suffer from stress. Before getting to know about the effects of stress, it is necessary to understand what stress is all about.

What are stress and its effects?

Some may experience physical stress like working overtime or lack of sleep. People also are faced with severe mental and emotional stresses. Some of the effects of stress are skin rashes, circulatory changes, slowing down of the lymphatic system, adrenal gland fatigue, intestinal track irritation, etc. There are several types of symptoms exhibited by the body due to stress. Fortunately, there are powerful ways and means, which when adopted can help reduce the effects of stress.

Emotional stress

A good number of people find it tough to overcome the shock and grief resulting from marital breakup, beloved one’s death or other reasons. Such people tend to delve in the past as they are emotional and experience severe stress. Professional counselling will be required to overcome such situations and start a fresh life once again. But for some even counselling may not help to completely remove stress effects. But it can reduce their emotional problems to a certain extent.

As the person experiences stress and tension, he/she feels some queasy feeling in the stomach or tears filling up the eyes. Such symptoms of emotional stress are indications of stress overload points, which is to be ‘reset’ by a professional. It is quite natural for a frustrated or distressed person to clap his/her on the forehead. It is considered to be an instinctive reaction.

According to the industry specialists, there are present neurological ‘circuit breakers’ present on the forehead skin. These are related to emotional and mental stress overload. The nerve system gives out this instinctive reaction which then draws attention towards such circuit breakers.

There are several things that may cause stress. It can perhaps be a school assignment or office work that is forgotten. It can be a poor report card or an event where the person did not act as expected. The person may react to such situations by slapping his/her hand on the forehead or shake the head. This is because, these situations cause stress. The subconscious mind’s function is to reduce stress effects as much as possible by resetting the emotional circuit breakers.

How to get de-stressed?

Doing this exercise will take just about 5 minutes and can prove to be an amazing stress buster remedy.

If the person is under stress for some reason, then add some sensations such as brightness, colour, sound and movement. Then place finger pads upon the emotional circuit breakers. These are actually two bony points present on the forehead. When touching the forehead do think about the stressful episode. Tugging the skin or with slight stretching, hold the points and reset the circuits. Hold the contacts until there is felt slight pulsation in both fingers simultaneously. It takes approximately half a minute to about two minutes. On feeling the pulsation, hold still the contact another few seconds. Later release it.

This is a powerful method to reset the emotional circuit breakers and eliminate stress effectively.
