Three Simple Home Remedies to Combat PCOS

PCOS or the Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome is a common disorder in the women. The modern woman juggles work and domestic work on her shoulders quite efficiently. Thereafter, you can ensure to use fenugreek seeds or leaves in your regular diet at least once a week and consume it daily before breakfast.

Cinnamon for PCOS

A study has observed that cinnamon supplies your body with vital nutrients which help control insulin resistance and stabilise the menstrual cycle. Roast and powder cinnamon sticks into a dry container. Each morning, consume a teaspoon of this powder mixed with hot water. This can be consumed for as long as your body is comfortable with it. Including it in regular diet once a week is also a good idea.

Flaxseeds for PCOS

The lignans in flax seeds are known to reduce the androgen levels in the body and hence treat PCOS. This also known to reduce inflammation in the body which is a result of PCOS. This is also good for lowering cholesterol and hence prevent cardiac related complications. The flaxseeds must be consumed fresh. It is no use to store the powder of flaxseeds. One must ground the seeds fresh and mix it into a glass of water every day. Consume it daily for two or three months provided your body does not show aggravating symptoms. Include them in salads or smoothies as and when possible.
