Low Sperm Count Due to Environmental Causes

The sperm function or production is affected by overexposure to certain environmental elements like:

The industrial chemicals

Longer exposure to xylene, benzenes, toluene, pesticides, herbicides, organic solvents, painting materials and lead contributes to low sperm counts.

Exposure to heavy metals

Exposure to heavy metals or lead causes infertility.

X-rays radiation

Radiation exposure reduces sperm production. This takes several years of sperm production to return to normal. When using high doses of radiation, sperm production could be permanently reduced.

Overheating of testicles

High temperatures can impair sperm function and production. Studies are limited and seem inconclusive on the frequent use of saunas or hot tubs that could temporarily impair sperm count.

Sitting for a longer duration, using tight clothing or working on a laptop computer for a longer time duration would increase the temperature of your scrotum and slightly reduce the sperm production.
