As it grows, you may be able to feel the scar tissue (plaque) under your skin as the scar tissue forms or experience pain in a specific place on your penis<\/span><b>. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Depending on where the scar is, your penis can bend up, down, or to the side when you have an erection. Some guys with this condition don\u2019t have a curve, but they may have a flat spot or an \u201chourglass\u201d shape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Most guys do not have erections that are perfectly straight. You don&#8217;t have Peyronie&#8217;s disease just because your penis is a little bit curved. It is not due to scar tissue, and it does not improve or worsen with time. It may not become clear until a man begins getting more frequent erections after he enters puberty.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Symptoms of Peyronie\u2019s Disease<\/h3>\n<p>The penis bends a lot, either sideways, down, or up, depending on where the plaques are.
